A. Niang\u00a0 interroge principalement la <strong>transnationalisation des groupements sociaux (familles, mouvements religieux, associations et groupements d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat \u00e9conomiques) de l\u2019ouest-africain<\/strong>. A partir d\u2019une approche r\u00e9solument biographique, il a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 le pros\u00e9lytisme islamique dont il observe finement les flux circulatoires, les ressorts symboliques et les effets \u00e9conomiques. A partir d\u2019une ethnographie multisitu\u00e9e (S\u00e9n\u00e9gal, Mauritanie, Niger, Nigeria), il identifie les r\u00e9seaux, les institutions et\u00a0 les logiques de reconnaissance qui les stimulent.
